Music plays an important role in the life of prayer, worship and liturgy at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Sutton Coldfield. Through music, our parish community is able to deepen its prayer, celebrate the Holy Mass with greater beauty, and bring people together in a spirit of faith and devotion. We are grateful to have many talented and dedicated musicians and singers who generously share their gifts and help lead the congregation in song at our weekend Masses.

Our parish music ministry includes different groups who support the liturgy in their own unique ways. From traditional choral music accompanied by the church organ to more contemporary styles that encourage participation from younger members of the parish, music is an important part of the spiritual life of our community. These groups help create a welcoming and prayerful atmosphere during Mass, allowing parishioners to take part fully in the celebration of the Eucharist.

The HT7 Music Group provides music for the 6:00 pm Sunday evening Mass at Holy Trinity. This group of musicians and singers offers a blend of contemporary and traditional music, helping to create a joyful and prayerful atmosphere that is particularly welcoming to young people and young adults within the parish.

The group rehearses and prepares for Mass each Sunday at 5:15 pm, shortly before the evening Mass begins. If you sing or play an instrument and would like to get involved in the parish music ministry, the group is always happy to welcome new members. You do not need to be available every week to take part.

These recordings offer a glimpse of the music shared by the HT7 Music Group at the Sunday evening Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Through their singing and playing, they help create a joyful and prayerful atmosphere that supports the liturgy.

11:00 am Sunday Choir

The 11:00 am Choir plays a central role in enhancing the Sunday liturgy at Holy Trinity. The choir leads the congregation in singing the hymns and often sings parts of the Mass as well as occasional motets. Their musical style tends to be more traditional and is beautifully supported by the sound of the church organ, helping to create a reverent and uplifting atmosphere during the celebration of Mass.

The choir rehearses in church on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm, and new members are always warmly welcome. If you enjoy singing and would like to take part in the parish music ministry, you are very welcome to join a rehearsal and meet the group.

From time to time, our choirs and music groups also come together to serve the parish for special celebrations and important moments in the Church year. This includes feast days, Christmas, Holy Week, and sacramental celebrations such as First Holy Communions and Confirmations, sharing their time and talent to help the parish pray together as one community.

Music is a wonderful way to serve the parish and to support the prayer of the community. Whether through singing, playing an instrument, or simply joining in with the hymns during Mass, music helps bring the liturgy to life and strengthens the sense of unity within our parish family. If you feel called to share your musical gifts, we would be delighted to welcome you.
